SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To lead and manage multidisciplinary design and engineering activities for renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind, hybrid, battery energy storage systems), ensuring technical compliance, optimization, innovation, and adherence to project timelines and regulatory requirements.
         
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 10 + years in Design related works. 
Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Renewable Energy Engineering – Mandatory, M.E. / M.Tech in Power Systems / Energy Systems / Structural / Renewable Energy – Preferred.
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Certification in Solar PV Design, Wind Resource Assessment, PVSyst, Helioscope, ETAP, or similar, Exposure to relevant standards: IEC, IS, IEEE, MNRE Guidelines, DISCOM/CEA norms.
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement Proficient in AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP, STAAD Pro, PV*SOL, WindPRO, MATLAB (as applicable), Strong understanding of electrical design (AC/DC), layout planning, energy yield analysis, and structural design of foundations or mounting systems, Familiarity with SCADA, grid connectivity, storage integration, and hybrid systems, Project management and team leadership, Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, Analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail, Adept in MS Office, MS Project / Primavera, and design document control.

Strategic Develop and implement renewable energy design strategies aligned with business goals, Identify technological innovations, tools, and methodologies to enhance design efficiency and competitiveness, Lead design standardization across renewable energy projects, Interface with senior leadership to present design recommendations and risk mitigation strategies. 25%
Financial Management Provide engineering inputs for cost estimation, value engineering, and project budgeting, Review design-related expenditures, change requests, and ensure cost-effective solutions, Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to standardize cost-efficient designs and technical specifications. 25%
Operational Ensure compliance with national and international codes, standards, and customer specifications, Manage design documentation, version control, and engineering quality assurance, Conduct technical reviews, design validation, and peer reviews, Optimize design layouts to maximize power output while minimizing capital expenditure. Support pre-bid and proposal engineering by evaluating client requirements and project feasibility. 40%
People Management Lead a team of engineers and draftsmen in the preparation of design deliverables – layouts, single line diagrams, BOQs, design calculations, etc, Mentor junior engineers and ensure continuous skill development within the team. 10%
