Key Responsibilities

• Operate P&M as an internal subcontractor delivering services (earthwork, piling, lifting, launching, concreting, logistics, etc.).
• Manage internal work orders, rate analysis, billing, and cost recovery from project teams.
• Ensure profitability of P&M operations through optimum utilization and cost control.
• Coordinate with project execution teams for scope finalization and service delivery.

• Prepare micro-level deployment plans for all equipment (cranes, batching plants, TBM support equipment, transit mixers, piling rigs, etc.).
• Align machinery deployment with construction schedules and milestones.
• Ensure availability of critical equipment to avoid project delays.

• Oversee execution of key activities:
• Earthwork & excavation
• Piling & foundation works
• Segment handling & girder launching
• Concrete production, transportation & laying
• Material handling and logistics
• Monitor daily productivity and machine performance.

• Prepare equipment costing, hire charges, and internal billing mechanisms.
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance cost, idle time, and variances.
• Optimize equipment utilization to achieve cost efficiency.
• Support contract management team in claims related to machinery.

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance systems are in place.
• Maintain equipment uptime and reduce breakdown frequency.
• Track lifecycle cost and plan replacement or refurbishment.
• Maintain proper documentation (logbooks, service records, etc.).

• Finalize vendors for hired equipment and services.
• Negotiate rates, monitor performance, and ensure timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory norms.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure zero major incidents.
• Ensure all equipment is certified and operators are trained.

• Lead a team of P&M managers, engineers, operators, and technicians.
• Drive performance through KPIs such as utilization, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Develop capability and technical skills within the team.

• Provide regular MIS reports on:
• Equipment utilization
• Productivity
• Cost vs budget
• Downtime analysis
• Present insights and corrective action plans to management.
