Role Summary

Responsible for leading, reviewing, and delivering the complete structural design of Railway bridges (Minor, Major, ROB/RUB, PSC/Steel/Composite Girders) and coordinating with Railway authorities, consultants, and internal teams.

1. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design of railway bridge structures.
• Review structural analysis, design calculations, GADs, and detailing.
• Ensure compliance with IRS Codes, RDSO Standards, IRC & IS codes.
• Prepare design schedules and coordinate with internal technical teams.
• Liaise with Railways, clients, and proof-check consultants for approvals.
• Provide design support during construction and resolve site queries.
• Implement QA/QC process for all design deliverables.
• Manage documentation, revisions, and design submissions.
• Guide and supervise engineers, checkers, and CAD technicians.
• Lead value engineering and propose cost-effective solutions.

  2. Skills Required

  • Strong technical knowledge of railway bridge design
  • Experience with MIDAS, STAAD, AutoCAD, and relevant tools
  • Good project management and coordination skills
  • Ability to lead teams and manage deadlines.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Minimum 12 years total experience, out of which 5 years must be in Railway Bridge Design
