SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To execute accurate survey and layout activities for Solar, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and T&D infrastructure including module mounting structures, substations, tower foundations, and cable trenches, ensuring precise implementation of design and alignment specifications.
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 4 + years in a similar role preferrably in Solar / BESS / T&D project.
Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Survey Engineering
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Certification in Land Surveying or Geomatics, Training in DGPS, Total Station, or Drone Survey (preferred), Safety certifications for working in electrical/T&D environments (preferred)
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement Proficient in operating Total Station, DGPS, Auto Level, and other digital survey tools, Good command of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey data processing software, Ability to create layout plans, as-built drawings, and survey reports, Understanding of solar plant layouts, transmission tower positioning, and utility trenching, Familiarity with industry standards and tolerances for solar and T&D projects.

SECTION IV: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Support in establishing primary and secondary control points across the project area, Perform topographical and boundary surveys to assist in site grading, structure layout, trenching, and equipment placement, Interpret engineering drawings related to module placement, inverter stations, switchyards, transmission towers, etc. 15%
Financial Management Maintain joint measurement records to validate contractor billing and avoid quantity disputes, Minimize errors in layout that could result in costly rework, misalignment of solar modules, or tower foundations, Assist in estimation and verification of BOQ quantities through precise measurement. 20%
Operational Carry out daily survey activities including layout for module structures, inverter foundations, cable trenching, battery banks, and transmission lines, Ensure timely calibration and maintenance of DGPS, Total Station, and Auto Level instruments, Maintain survey logs, as-built records, and field sketches for handover and documentation, Leverage modern technologies (DGPS, Total Station, Drone Mapping, LiDAR) to enhance survey precision, especially in large-scale solar farms and linear T&D corridors. 55%
People Management Collaborate with civil and electrical teams for coordinated execution based on approved layouts, Supervise and coordinate activities of Survey Helpers on site. 10%
