Key Responsibilities

A. Pre-Construction Survey

• Conduct topographical surveys of the BESS site (land contours, slopes, depressions, drainage).

• Identify and map existing utilities (HT/LT lines, water pipelines, roads, fencing, structures).

• Carry out boundary marking, land demarcation and coordinates validation using DGPS/Total Station.

• Prepare site layout maps, contour maps, surface profiles, and level reports.

• Assist engineering team in preparing plot plan, equipment layout, control room placement, etc.

B. Construction-Stage Survey

• Perform setting-out for foundations of:

  • Battery containers

  • PCS/Inverters

  • Transformers

  • Switchyard equipment

  • Control rooms

  • Cable trenches and fire-fighting pipelines

• Ensure horizontal and vertical alignment during structure erection and civil foundation works.

• Reconfirm coordinates as per IFC drawings and provide adjustment where required.

C. As-Built Survey & Documentation

• Conduct as-built surveys for all installed equipment, trenches, cable routes, and civil structures.

• Prepare as-built drawings, coordinate lists, and survey reports.

• Maintain survey records including raw data, log sheets, calibration reports, and backups.

D. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with the design team for layout changes & engineering clarifications.

• Work closely with construction, QA/QC, electrical, and civil teams for daily survey support.

• Ensure all surveys comply with:

  • Project technical specifications

  • IS/IEC standards

  • Client requirements & safety guidelines
