Position Overview:
The Senior Engineer – Structures (Finishing Works) will be responsible for supervising and executing all structural finishing-related activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role requires strong technical acumen, site management capabilities, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality finishing works across infrastructure projects such as industrial complexes, highways, bridges, metro structures, and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execution & Supervision

Oversee and execute structural finishing works such as plastering, painting, flooring, grouting, water-proofing, tiling, and external/internal finishes.

Ensure that all finishing activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Supervise subcontractors and ensure proper workmanship, productivity, and adherence to schedule.

Monitor daily progress and maintain site records, ensuring completion as per target milestones.
2. Quality Assurance & Control

Conduct inspections and ensure finishing works meet the specified standards and tolerances.

Coordinate with Quality Assurance / Quality Control teams for material testing and approvals.

Implement corrective measures for any deviations or defects identified during execution.
3. Planning & Coordination

Assist in preparing work schedules, manpower deployment, and material requirement planning for finishing works.

Coordinate with structural, architectural, MEP, and other cross-functional teams to avoid rework and ensure seamless execution.

Liaise with consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders for inspections, approvals, and clarifications.
4. Material Management

Ensure timely requisition, verification, and utilization of finishing materials as per BOQ and drawings.

Maintain inventory records and reduce material wastage through effective planning and monitoring.
5. Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to all safety norms and quality protocols at the site.

Conduct regular toolbox talks and ensure safety measures are implemented during all finishing operations.
Educational Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) from a recognized institution.
-
Postgraduate qualifications in Construction Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Required:

7–10 years of experience in structural finishing works within large-scale infrastructure or industrial construction projects.

Proven experience in managing high-quality finishing works in bridges, flyovers, metro, or industrial/commercial structures.
Technical & Functional Skills:

Strong understanding of finishing materials, structural drawings, and construction methodologies.

Knowledge of quality standards, mix design, and tolerance limits in structural finishing works.

Familiarity with project management tools and software (MS Project / Primavera).

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Sound knowledge of IS codes and relevant industry practices.
