Role Purpose

To oversee the operations and maintenance of solar PV plants to ensure optimal plant performance, maximum energy generation, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations

• Monitor daily operations of the solar PV plant to ensure uninterrupted power generation.
• Track plant performance, generation data, and system availability through SCADA systems.
• Ensure compliance with grid requirements and plant operational protocols.

2. Maintenance Management

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, and associated equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for fault identification and quick rectification.
• Ensure proper maintenance of switchyard and electrical systems.

3. Performance Monitoring

• Analyze plant performance parameters like PR (Performance Ratio), CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor), and generation efficiency.
• Identify performance issues and implement corrective actions to improve generation.
• Maintain plant availability as per contractual targets.

4. Team & Contractor Management

• Supervise site engineers, technicians, and contract workforce.
• Allocate work responsibilities and monitor daily activities.
• Ensure contractors follow safety and operational procedures.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly generation reports.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and spare parts consumption.
• Coordinate with HO teams for MIS reporting and performance tracking.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to EHS policies and safety standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks for the site team.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

7. Inventory & Spare Management

• Monitor critical spare parts inventory for plant equipment.
• Ensure availability of required materials for maintenance activities.
