Experience Required: Minimum 11+ years in Finishing Works of High-Rise, Commercial, or Industrial Projects
Position Summary:
The Manager – Finishing Works will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all finishing-related activities of high-rise buildings, malls, and industrial complexes to ensure timely completion with the desired quality and safety standards. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Responsibilities:

Develop and implement execution strategies for all finishing works to meet project milestones and quality parameters.

Assist the Project Manager in defining resource requirements, work schedules, and finishing sequences.

Identify potential risks or delays and propose mitigation plans to ensure adherence to timelines.

Ensure finishing standards align with architectural intent, design specifications, and client expectations.
2. Technical & Operational Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage finishing activities including blockwork, plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, false ceiling, joinery, glazing, façade, and interior fit-outs.

Coordinate with MEP, structural, and architectural teams to ensure interface and finishing works integration.

Review GFC drawings, technical submittals, and shop drawings for compliance and constructability.

Ensure quality workmanship through regular inspections and compliance with IS codes, project specifications, and approved materials.

Monitor daily progress and ensure work completion within allocated budget and schedule.

Manage subcontractors’ performance and ensure adherence to safety and quality norms.

Maintain site records, checklists, snag lists, and progress reports.
3. Financial Management:

Prepare and monitor cost estimates, work orders, and budgets for finishing works.

Track material consumption, wastage, and reconciliation reports.

Certify subcontractor bills and ensure alignment with contract terms.
4. People Management:

Lead, guide, and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and workmen involved in finishing activities.

Ensure effective deployment of manpower and resources as per project requirements.

Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and teamwork at site.
Internal & External Interfaces:

Internal: Coordination with Project Management, Planning, QA/QC, Safety, and MEP teams for smooth project execution.

External: Interaction with Consultants, Architects, Clients, and Vendors for approvals, inspections, and material finalizations.
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)

Master’s Degree in Construction Management / Project Management (preferred)
Experience:

Minimum 11+ years of experience in finishing works execution for high-rise residential/commercial buildings, malls, or industrial projects with reputed EPC/Construction firms.

Proven experience in handling multiple finishing packages and subcontractors.
Technical / Functional Skills Required:

Excellent knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and industry standards.

Proficiency in project planning and tracking tools (MS Project / Primavera).

Understanding of quality assurance processes, IS codes, and HSE requirements.

Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
