SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To effectively manage planning, scheduling, billing, quantity estimation, and cost control activities at the project site level for Solar / BESS / T&D projects, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, project timelines, quality benchmarks, and cost optimization goals.
         
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 5 + years of experience in a similar role
Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (based on project type)
Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management / QS (preferred)
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project – mandatory for planning roles, Certification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS, NICMAR) – preferred, Awareness of CEA guidelines or DISCOM specifications (for T&D) – desirable
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement Proficiency in planning tools (Primavera / MSP), Excel (advanced), AutoCAD, Excellent knowledge of billing procedures, quantity estimation, rate analysis, and BOQ management, Hands-on experience in reconciliation and RA billing processes, Understanding of renewable energy/T&D contracts and commercial terms.

SECTION IV: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules and execution plans in alignment with project milestones and contractual deliverables, Assist the Site Planning Head in setting project KPIs and aligning site performance with regional and corporate goals, Identify critical paths, flag potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies. 25%
Financial Management Prepare and validate BOQs, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and rate analysis as per drawings and technical specifications, Measure and certify executed quantities for subcontractors and vendors for interim and final billing, Coordinate preparation and submission of RA bills, client invoices, and ensure timely certification and collection, Perform reconciliation of materials, subcontractor payments, and cost-to-complete forecasting. 25%
Operational Track day-to-day site progress and update schedules using planning tools like MS Project or Primavera, Ensure proper documentation and control of drawings, schedules, and billing records, Contribute to HSE compliance by ensuring planned timelines do not compromise safety protocols, Support in preparing project status reports, dashboards, and client presentations. 40%
People Management Supervise junior QS/planning engineers in document preparation, billing formats, and reporting, Assist in handling contractual claims, variation orders, and commercial negotiations with vendors. 10%
