Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations at project and HO levels, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all project-related financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS).
- Review and reconcile project accounts, advances, and intercompany transactions.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare project budgets and monitor actual expenses against approved budgets.
- Track project cost heads (materials, labor, subcontracting, equipment, etc.) and highlight cost overruns.
- Support management with variance analysis, cost forecasts, and profitability reports.
3. Project Accounting & Billing
- Coordinate with project and commercial teams for client billing, certification of work done (RA Bills), and revenue recognition.
- Ensure proper accounting of subcontractor bills, retention, mobilization advances, and recoveries.
- Maintain control over project cash flows and ensure timely realization of receivables.
4. Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and project auditors for smooth completion of audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for tax assessments and audits.
5. Treasury & Banking
- Manage banking operations, including project-specific accounts, guarantees, and LC documentation.
- Monitor fund flow and cash flow requirements for projects.
- Liaise with banks for limits, guarantees, and other financial instruments.
6. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports on financial performance, cash flow, and cost control.
- Support senior management in financial planning, decision-making, and performance reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA).
- Experience: 8–15 years of experience in Accounts & Finance within the Infrastructure / EPC / Construction sector.
- Knowledge:
- Project accounting, cost control, and budgeting.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime).
- Taxation and statutory compliance relevant to infra projects.
