SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To ensure organization-wide compliance with statutory, regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements across all business operations. The role focuses on strengthening the compliance framework, monitoring adherence, minimizing risk exposure, and maintaining transparency and accountability in business practices.
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 6 + years of experience in a similar role.
Qualification Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Law, or Business Administration, CS
(LLB or CS is highly preferred)
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Company Secretary (CS), LLB or Diploma in Business / Corporate Law, Certification in Labour Law Compliance or Environmental Law, ISO/SA certification awareness (ISO 37001 – Anti-Bribery, SA 8000 – Social Accountability)
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement In-depth knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements (labor laws, Companies Act, tax laws, environmental norms, etc.), Experience working with a listed entity, Experience in developing compliance dashboards and MIS reports, Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, compliance tracking software, and ERP systems, Ability to interpret legal/regulatory changes and translate into actionable processes, Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

SECTION IV: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Develop, implement, and update compliance policies, frameworks, and control mechanisms aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, Identify compliance risks and propose mitigative strategies across business verticals (e.g., legal, labor, taxation, environmental, safety), Collaborate with legal and audit teams to ensure alignment between compliance, contractual obligations, and internal audit recommendations. 20%
Financial Management Ensure timely compliance with statutory tax payments, filings, and submissions to avoid financial penalties or litigations, Monitor and control costs related to non-compliance, penalties, and legal disputes, Support financial audits and provide documentation required for due diligence or investor/stakeholder reviews, Contribute to budgeting exercises for compliance-related systems, training, and resources. 20%
Operational Maintain and monitor the compliance calendar across departments to ensure timely submissions and renewals (e.g., licenses, registrations, returns), Liaise with external consultants for specialized compliances such as ESG, environment, or labor audits, Conduct internal training and workshops to enhance awareness of compliance policies and regulatory changes, Prepare and present periodic compliance reports to senior leadership, identifying key risks and action items, Support the development of a compliance-conscious culture across all levels of the organization through awareness and training, Track and interpret changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines affecting the business. 40%
People Management Coordinate with project sites and departments to collect compliance-related data and validate adherence, Supervise junior compliance staff; assign tasks, review work, and ensure timely execution. 20%
