SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To lead and oversee the design, review, and technical compliance of electrical systems across infrastructure, industrial, and renewable energy projects, ensuring optimal design, value engineering, cost control, and execution support in alignment with business objectives and statutory standards.
         
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 12 + years in Electrical related works.
Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering – Mandatory, M.E. / M.Tech – Preferred.
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, BIM Modelling Tools, CEA/DISCOM Licensed Engineer. Project Management certifications (PMP/PRINCE2)
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement Proficient in designing electrical distribution systems, substation layouts, load flow studies, Hands-on with design tools (ETAP, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD), Familiarity with protection system design, SCADA, energy monitoring systems, Working knowledge of National & International Electrical Codes (IS, IEC, IEEE), Leadership and team management, Planning and coordination, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Communication and stakeholder management, Documentation and compliance management.

Strategic Develop and implement electrical engineering standards, design philosophies, and best practices across projects, Contribute to design strategy for tenders and ongoing projects ensuring innovation, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance, Evaluate emerging technologies and drive their adoption in line with sustainability and operational efficiency goals, Support the company’s strategic initiatives in digital design transformation (BIM, integrated modeling, etc.). 25%
Financial Management Prepare and validate technical inputs for BOQ and cost estimations to support bidding and budgeting processes, Monitor design-related project costs and propose optimization strategies, Review vendor/subcontractor technical offers and provide value-engineered alternatives, Assist procurement and contract teams in identifying technically viable and cost-efficient solutions. 25%
Operational Ensure timely and accurate submission of drawings, reports, and approvals to internal and external stakeholders, Interface with project managers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure design integration, Drive quality assurance of designs by ensuring adherence to IS, IEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes, Plan and allocate design team resources across projects efficiently. 40%
People Management Coordinate with execution teams to resolve design issues and ensure constructability at sites, Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical and professional development,  10%
