Job Description – Male Nurse

Industry: Engineering & Construction (Highways / Railways Projects)

Head Experience: 5+ Years

Role Purpose :


The Male Nurse will be responsible for providing on-site medical support, first aid, and emergency care to project personnel, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards at the construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate first aid and basic medical care to employees in case of injuries, accidents, or illness at site.

• Maintain and manage the site medical room, first-aid boxes, medicines, and emergency medical equipment.

• Assist the Site EHS Head in implementing occupational health programs and medical emergency response plans.

• Conduct regular health check-ups, including BP, temperature, and basic fitness assessments for site staff and workers.

• Maintain accurate medical records, injury logs, and health-related documentation as per statutory and company requirements.

• Coordinate with nearby hospitals, clinics, and ambulance services during medical emergencies.

• Support safety drills, mock drills, and toolbox talks related to health and emergency preparedness.

• Monitor occupational health risks related to dust, heat stress, noise, and ergonomics at site.

• Ensure compliance with statutory health requirements under applicable labor laws and project safety standards.

• Advise employees on basic hygiene, fitness, and preventive healthcare practices at site.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or equivalent recognized qualification.

•Valid nursing registration with State Nursing Council.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Nurse / Industrial Nurse in Highways, Railways, or large infrastructure projects.

• Experience in handling medical emergencies at construction sites is mandatory.
Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of first aid, trauma care, and occupational health practices.

• Familiarity with construction site hazards and EHS requirements.

• Ability to work independently at remote project locations.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
