Experience Required: 5–8 years in L&D functionJob PurposeTo support the strategic development and execution of Learning & Development initiatives across the organization. The Deputy Manager – L&D will play a vital role in identifying training needs, designing programs, and driving initiatives to enhance employee capabilities, align learning with business objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesLearning Strategy & PlanningAssist in formulating the annual L&D strategy in line with business goals.Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) through surveys, interviews, and performance data.Contribute to the design and development of learning calendars, budgets, and KPI tracking mechanisms.
Training Program ManagementDesign and deliver in-house training modules in both technical and behavioural domains.Coordinate with external training partners and institutions for specialized programs.Oversee end-to-end execution of training programs – scheduling, logistics, facilitator coordination, and feedback collection.Content DevelopmentDevelop engaging learning content (presentations, e-learning modules, handbooks, etc.).Use blended learning methods including classroom, e-learning, and on-the-job training.Update content periodically to align with evolving industry trends and organizational needs.
Monitoring & EvaluationTrack training effectiveness through feedback forms, assessments, and ROI analysis.Maintain and analyze training dashboards and reports using LMS Gyanshala platform & Apps.Recommend improvements based on performance metrics and employee feedback.Stakeholder EngagementLiaise with business unit heads to align L&D initiatives with departmental goals.Collaborate with HR business partners to support talent development pipelines.Promote a learning culture through internal campaigns, recognition, and knowledge sharing.
Key Skills and CompetenciesStrong facilitation and presentation skillsProficiency in learning technology tools (LMS, content creation software like Canva)Analytical mindset with ability to interpret training dataExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skillsEducational QualificationsBachelor’s Degree (preferably in HR, Psychology, Business Administration)MBA or PG Diploma in HR / L&D (preferred)Certifications in Instructional Design, Facilitation, or Coaching (a plus)
