Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management & Administration

  • Lead end-to-end management of contracts across design, construction, and maintenance phases.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contract types (EPC, FIDIC, NEC, PPP, Design-Build, etc.).
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are understood, documented, and met by internal teams.
  • Maintain a contract register and track key milestones, deliverables, and obligations.

2. Risk & Claims Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout project lifecycle.
  • Prepare, assess, and defend claims for variations, extensions of time, and disputes.
  • Participate in DRB, Conciliation and Arbitration as required based on decided strategy,
  • Liaise with legal counsel on dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration when necessary.

3. Stakeholder & Client Liaison

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters between stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project management, finance, and engineering teams to align contract execution with project goals.
  • Support client meetings and presentations related to commercial and contractual performance.

5. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all contracting activities comply with company policies, legal frameworks, and statutory requirements.
  • Implement contract management procedures, templates, and reporting standards.
  • Train project teams on contract awareness and best practices.

 

Preferred candidate profile

FIDIC Contract Training Certification, NICMAR Certificate in Contracts & Claims Management, PMP or RICS Accreditation (optional),  Arbitration Council Membership (preferred for legal contract specialists).
