Designation

General Manager 

Role Objective

To lead end-to-end delivery of elevated highway, greenfield, and brownfield expressway projects, ensuring schedule certainty, cost control, quality compliance, safety excellence, and contractual performance in line with client and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Overall responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring, and commissioning of expressway and elevated highway projects.

• Drive achievement of milestones, COD targets, and revenue realization as per contract.

• Approve construction methodology, sequencing, and resource deployment across packages.

Technical & Design Control

• Provide technical leadership for structures, roadway, interchanges, bridges, viaducts, and elevated corridors.

• Ensure compliance with IRC / MORTH / IS codes, concession agreements, and EPC / HAM / BOT contract requirements.

• Review and resolve critical technical issues related to geometry, staging, traffic management, and interface works.

Planning, Cost & Commercial Control

• Own project budgets, cash flow, and cost-to-complete.

• Control subcontracting strategy, productivity benchmarks, and value engineering initiatives.

• Lead variation, claim, and EOT strategy with contractual and technical justification.

Quality, Safety & Risk Management

• Establish and enforce project-wide QA/QC and HSE systems.

• Ensure safe execution of launching, heavy lifting, traffic-diverted works, and brownfield interfaces.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to land, utilities, approvals, traffic, and environment.

Stakeholder & Authority Management

• Act as single-point interface with Client, Authority Engineer, Independent Engineer, Consultants, and Government Authorities.

• Lead statutory approvals, inspections, audits, and handover processes.

• Manage community, traffic, and local administration coordination.

Team & Organization Development

• Build and lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, construction, planning, QA/QC, safety, contracts, and commercial functions.

• Drive performance culture, capability development, and leadership succession.

• Ensure alignment with corporate systems and governance.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. – Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

Experience

• 20+ years in large infrastructure projects

• Proven leadership of Elevated Highways, Greenfield & Brownfield Expressways

• Experience across EPC / HAM / BOT project delivery models

• Strong exposure to urban traffic interface and complex brownfield execution
