SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To ensure site-level compliance with applicable labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal HR policies while maintaining harmonious industrial relations with both direct and contract workforce. This role supports the organization’s commitment to legal and ethical employment practices, minimizes legal risks, and promotes a compliant and disciplined workforce environment.
         
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 1 to 5 years of experience in HR Compliance / IR at project
Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Law / Social Work / Commerce / Human Resources
Postgraduate qualification in Labor Laws / IR / HRM (preferred)
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Certified in Labor Law Compliance / Industrial Relations / Contract Labor Management, Certified Internal Auditor for HR/Statutory Compliance (optional)
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement In-depth knowledge of applicable labor laws – CLRA, ESIC, PF, Factories Act, etc., Familiarity with statutory documentation and government portals (e.g., EPFO, ESIC e-returns), Strong record-keeping and audit readiness, Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, Proficient in MS Excel and HRIS tools, Proficient in MS Excel and HRIS tools.

SECTION IV: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Support implementation of Industrial Relations (IR) strategies at the site to maintain peaceful workforce relations, Ensure compliance with labor laws, rules, and regulations applicable to construction/project sites, Assist in audits and inspections by statutory bodies and support closure of observations. 15%
Financial Management Monitor and validate wage disbursements to contract labor and ensure alignment with minimum wage laws, Help track contractor compliance costs and verify documentation for vendor payments, Ensure accuracy in statutory deductions (ESIC, PF, etc.) to avoid financial penalties, Maintain data and MIS for cost-related statutory compliance reports and audits. 25%
Operational Maintain all statutory registers: Muster Rolls, Wage Registers, Accident Records, Leave Records, etc, Verify contractor bills with attendance and compliance documentation (PF, ESIC, WC policy, etc.), Verify contractor bills with attendance and compliance documentation (PF, ESIC, WC policy, etc.), Handle grievance redressal of labor and escalate as required, Support in handling labor unrest, absenteeism, disciplinary issues, and ensure documentation, Ensure display and maintenance of all statutory notices and compliance certificates on site, Prepare and submit returns and reports under various labor laws to respective departments. 40%
People Management Coordinate with contractor HR teams to collect monthly compliance documents and support timely submission. 20%
