The Site Engineer (OHE & PSI) will be responsible for supervising, executing, and ensuring quality and safety compliance in all site activities related to Overhead Equipment (OHE) and Power Supply Installation (PSI) works for railway or metro electrification projects. The role involves close coordination with design teams, contractors, clients, and quality/safety departments to achieve timely and cost-effective project delivery.

1. OHE (Overhead Equipment) Works

• Supervise installation of masts, portals, cantilevers, droppers, insulators, and other OHE fittings.
• Ensure proper stringing and tensioning of conductors (catenary and contact wires).
• Verify OHE layout and ensure execution as per approved drawings and standards (e.g., RDSO, Railway/Metro specifications).
• Conduct checks for clearances, stagger, height, and registration arm adjustments.
• Coordinate with the traction power and signaling teams to avoid interface conflicts.

2. PSI (Power Supply Installation) Works

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, isolators, circuit breakers, and SCADA interfaces.
• Ensure earthing and bonding works are executed as per standards.
• Manage cable laying, termination, and routing in substations and along the track.
• Monitor erection and testing of auxiliary power equipment and ensure reliable power distribution.

3. Site Management & Coordination

• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, material consumption records, and manpower deployment logs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure work is completed within schedule, budget, and quality norms.
• Participate in inspections, quality checks, and testing & commissioning activities.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) norms.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain as-built drawings, inspection reports, test certificates, and quality records.
• Support in preparing project documentation for client approvals and handover.
• Assist in preparing material requisitions and verifying bills as per work progress.
