Role Purpose

To support the operations and maintenance activities of solar PV plants to ensure optimum performance, maximum power generation, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations

• Monitor daily solar PV plant operations to ensure continuous power generation.
• Track plant performance through SCADA systems and ensure smooth operation of plant equipment.
• Monitor key parameters such as generation, inverter performance, and system availability.

2. Maintenance Activities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, and associated electrical equipment.
• Assist in fault detection, troubleshooting, and rectification of plant issues.
• Ensure proper functioning of switchyard equipment and electrical systems.

3. Performance Monitoring

• Monitor plant performance indicators such as PR (Performance Ratio), CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor), and plant availability.
• Identify performance deviations and support implementation of corrective actions to improve plant efficiency.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily generation reports, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and plant performance data.
• Coordinate with Head Office for MIS reporting and operational updates.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow and enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines at the plant site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety checks before maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

6. Inventory & Spare Management

• Monitor availability of spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Coordinate with procurement for critical spare parts requirement.
