🔹 Role Purpose
To ensure implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across transmission line project sites, minimizing risks, ensuring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Implementation & Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to EHS policies, procedures, and statutory requirements
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify hazards
- Monitor high-risk activities like tower erection, stringing, working at height, and electrical works
2. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and client requirements
- Maintain EHS records, reports, and documentation
- Support internal and external audits
3. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks (TBTs)
- Organize regular safety training programs for workers and staff
- Promote safety awareness campaigns
4. Incident Management
- Report, investigate, and analyze accidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
5. Contractor & Workforce Management
- Ensure contractor compliance with EHS standards
- Monitor usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Ensure safe practices across all subcontractors
6. Environmental Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms (waste management, pollution control)
- Monitor site environmental impact and implement mitigation measures
7. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response plans
- Conduct mock drills (fire, electrical, rescue at height)
