Key Responsibilities
A. Planning & Execution

Prepare detailed civil construction plans for foundations, earthing, and tower erections.

Review soil investigation, route survey data, and foundation classification.
-
Ensure timely mobilization of manpower, machinery, shuttering, and consumables.

Execute all civil works:
-
Tower foundations (Raft, Pile, Pad & Chimney, Under-reamed, Well foundations).
-
Stub setting & template placement.
-
Earthing works (counterpoise, pipe/ring earthing, rock/sandy soil earthing techniques).
-
Approach road development near tower locations.
-
-
Coordinate with TL erection teams to ensure foundation readiness.
B. Technical & Quality Control
-
Review construction drawings, BOQs, engineering documents, PMC/Client comments.
-
Ensure execution as per IS codes, CEA norms, utility standards (PGCIL / State TRANSCO).
-
Conduct quality checks for:
-
Excavation depth, strata, PCC/RCC quality, reinforcement cut-bending–placing
-
Concrete testing (slump, cube tests, batching)
-
Backfilling & compaction
-

Ensure proper documentation (pour cards, test reports, DPRs, WIRs, checklists).
C. Site Management
-
Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and labour teams.

Resolve site issues such as land access, ROW, local approvals, blasting permissions, etc.
-
Maintain DPR/WPR/MPR and report progress to PM and HO.
-
Ensure optimum productivity of machinery (mixers, batching plants, excavators, breakers).
D. Safety & Compliance
-
Enforce HSE guidelines during excavation, concreting, working at height, and vehicle movement.
-
Ensure compliance with environmental norms, labour laws, statutory permissions.
E. Contractor & Cost Control
-
Evaluate & finalize civil subcontractors.
-
Validate measurements, RA Bills, and cost variance.
-
Monitor material consumption vs BOQ to avoid wastage / over-consumption.
-
Coordinate with stores for timely material provisioning (cement, steel, sand, aggregates).
F. Stakeholder Coordination
-
Liaise with client representatives, PMC, internal design team, and land/ROW team.
-
Participate in joint inspections, audits, and client review meetings.
-
Assist PM in claims, change orders, and technical clarifications.
