Job Purpose

To manage and optimize the procurement of lubricants, Hot Mix Plant (HMP) spares, RMC Plant spares, and WMM Plant spares, ensuring timely availability, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and uninterrupted plant operations across infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Plan, source, and procure lubricants, HMP, RMC, and WMM plant spares as per project and maintenance requirements.

• Develop and manage a reliable vendor base for OEM and non-OEM spares.

• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and long-term rate contracts.

• Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and service support.

Inventory & Supply Planning

• Monitor consumption patterns and maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.

• Coordinate with plant, maintenance, and project teams for demand forecasting.

• Ensure availability of critical spares to minimize plant downtime.

Cost Control & Budgeting

• Prepare and manage procurement budgets for plant spares and consumables.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, standardization, and bulk procurement.

• Track procurement costs against budgets and report variances.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with Plant Managers, Maintenance Teams, Project Teams, Finance, and Stores for smooth material flow.

• Ensure timely processing of PRs, POs, GRNs, and invoices.

• Support project mobilization and demobilization activities related to plant and machinery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Mechanical / Logistics (preferred)

• MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Materials Management is an added advantage
