| SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE | ||||
| Purpose of Role | To lead the planning, quantity surveying, scheduling, and billing functions for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This includes managing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) activities. The role ensures alignment of project execution with technical, commercial, and contractual frameworks while driving cost control and schedule adherence. | |||
| The BESS scope involves civil works, battery enclosures (containerized or modular), inverters, BMS, PCS, SCADA/EMS, and grid interfacing. | ||||

| Financial Management | Assist in preparing the project budget, segregated across civil, electrical, battery modules, PCS, SCADA, and auxiliary works. Track cost vs. value using earned value management (EVM). | 25% | ||
| Operational | Track actual vs. planned progress and prepare weekly/monthly dashboards for site and HO. Oversee submission of DPRs, MBs, and MIS. Set up WBS, cost codes, and schedule control structures aligned with the contract. Ensure integration with procurement and logistics timelines for batteries, inverters, transformers, and control systems.Interface with engineering, execution, and OEM vendors to align timelines, handovers, and readiness for commissioning. | 40% | ||
| People Management | Lead a multidisciplinary team of planning and QS engineers. Mentor junior engineers, review deliverables, and manage workload to meet site and client requirements. Liaise with civil and electrical execution teams, QA/QC, stores, and P&M to verify work status and billing readiness.
