SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role To lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all structural components within a highway infrastructure project, including bridges (minor/major), culverts, retaining walls, RE walls, underpasses, and other grade-separated structures. Ensure timely completion with high quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness in alignment with project specifications and MoRTH/IRC standards.

Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 15
Qualification Diploma (Civil) / B. Tech (Civil)
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Additional certifications in bridge construction, formwork systems, or project management preferred.
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement In-depth knowledge of IRC, MoRTH, IS codes, Structural drawing interpretation & sequencing, Resource planning and subcontractor oversight

SECTION IV: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Define structure execution methodology, construction sequence, and resource planning in line with the overall project timeline. Ensure alignment with design intent, BOQ, and client requirements. 25%
Financial Management Prepare structure-specific budgets including materials (cement, steel, bearings), equipment (shuttering, launching girders), and manpower. Monitor actual costs versus budget and control overruns through proactive planning. Identify opportunities for material optimization and introduce construction efficiencies without compromising quality. 20%
Operational Oversee day-to-day execution of all structural works—pile foundations, pier caps, abutments, PSC girders, slab casting, launching operations, bearing installation, and finishing works. Maintain synchronization with road and drainage teams. Ensure timely mobilization and maintenance of key equipment—batching plant, transit mixers, cranes, launchers, scaffolding systems. Coordinate material procurement schedules and storage. 40%
People Management Manage deployment of engineers, supervisors, and labor. Ensure compliance with safety norms during high-risk activities such as working at height, concrete pours, heavy lifting, and launching operations. 15%
