Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Performance Management

Lead the overall O&M activities for utility-scale solar power plants (ground-mounted/rooftop/solar parks).

Monitor plant performance against generation targets and benchmark KPIs such as PR, CUF, and availability.

Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and losses.
-
Review daily, monthly, and annual reports on energy generation, equipment performance, and losses.
-
Analyze SCADA data and develop strategies to enhance output and reduce recurring faults.
2. Asset Integrity & Maintenance
-
Oversee maintenance of modules, inverters, transformers, and balance-of-system (BoS) equipment.

Ensure calibration, health, and performance of protection systems, relays, and metering infrastructure.

Drive root-cause analysis for breakdowns and major incidents.
-
Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices.
3. Safety, Quality & Compliance
-
Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards at all operating sites.
-
Ensure compliance with statutory, grid, and regulatory norms.
-
Conduct regular audits and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.

Develop and execute safety training programs for site personnel.
4. Budgeting & Cost Optimization

Prepare annual O&M budgets including manpower, consumables, and spares.

Track and control O&M costs, ensuring cost-effective operation without compromising performance.
-
Manage service contracts, vendor payments, and performance-linked incentives.
5. Vendor & Contract Management
-
Oversee AMC and service agreements for key equipment (inverters, transformers, SCADA, etc.).
-
Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate renewals or new contracts.
-
Ensure timely procurement of critical spares and consumables.
6. Team Leadership & Development
-
Lead a multidisciplinary team of site engineers, technicians, and regional O&M leads.
-
Build capability through structured training and performance management.
-
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
7. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
-
Provide regular performance updates to management, investors, and DISCOMs as required.
-
Liaise with utilities, regulators, and OEMs for operational matters and approvals.
-
Support the asset management and finance teams with data for billing, forecasting, and analytics.
