Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – ELV & HVAC will be responsible for planning, execution, and management of all ELV and HVAC system works within projects, ensuring technical compliance, cost efficiency, and timely completion. The role requires a solid understanding of building services integration, hands-on experience in system installation and commissioning, and the ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution

Supervise and manage the execution of ELV and HVAC systems including design review, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Develop detailed work schedules, material procurement plans, and manpower allocation for assigned projects.

Ensure works are executed in accordance with project specifications, standards, and approved drawings.

Coordinate closely with other MEP disciplines to resolve site-related issues and ensure seamless integration.
Technical & Quality Control

Review and verify ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, PA/BGM, and Structured Cabling Systems.

Ensure HVAC designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant local standards.

Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance with safety regulations.

Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for technical accuracy.
Coordination & Liaison

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of technical queries.

Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates to management.

Liaise with suppliers for procurement, technical clarifications, and product evaluations.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Oversee testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC systems.

Supervise ELV systems integration and ensure functionality as per design intent.

Prepare and maintain all project documentation, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Team Leadership & Development

Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians to deliver project objectives.

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior staff.

Ensure adherence to company policies, HSE requirements, and quality management systems.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction firms handling ELV and HVAC systems.

Strong knowledge of international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BICSI, BS, IEEE, etc.).

Proven track record in large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and other relevant design/management tools.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications:

PMP / LEED Accreditation (Preferred)

Certified HVAC Engineer / BICSI Certification (Added Advantage)
