| SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE | ||||
| Purpose of Role | To coordinate, review, and facilitate all supply chain-related activities for road construction works, ensuring timely procurement, delivery of materials, and vendor approvals in line with contract requirements, codal provisions, and authority expectations. The role acts as an interface between vendors/suppliers, internal project teams, Independent Engineer/Authority, and construction teams, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and optimized material supply is available at site in sync with project schedules. |

| SECTION III: JOB REQUIREMENTS | ||||
| Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) | 04 to 08+ years of experience in similar role preferably at Higway project. | |||
| Qualification | Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in relevant field from a recognized university. | |||
| Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) | Training/certification in SCM software (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM, ERPNext) or procurement tools advantageous. Exposure to ISO/QMS, GST compliance, or vendor management systems desirable. |

| Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement | Understanding of material specifications for road construction (e.g., aggregates, bitumen, cement, steel) as per IRC, MoRTH, and relevant IS codes. Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate BOQs, material schedules, vendor quotes, delivery plans, and quality test reports. Familiarity with procurement workflows and approval processes in EPC/HAM projects, including submissions to IE/Authority. Capability to track purchase orders, deliveries, RFQs, and material change requests, maintaining proper registers and logs. Working knowledge of SCM/drafting tools (MS Excel advanced, ERP systems) and good proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and PDF mark-up. Basic understanding of construction methodology to check material availability, sequencing, and compatibility with site conditions. |

Support in compiling technical backing and documents for SCM-related claims or value engineering proposals. | Operational | Coordinate with external vendors/suppliers, in-house SCM team, and site teams for inputs, clarifications, and issue resolution. Prepare and maintain purchase order schedules, material trackers, delivery logs, and approval status for all key deliverables. Ensure that latest approved materials and documents are promptly circulated to all concerned site locations and outdated supplies are withdrawn. Organize and document vendor review meetings, MOMs, and follow-up actions with suppliers and project stakeholders. Assist in resolving site RFIs by collecting field data, stock reports, as-built information, and routing them to the appropriate vendor. |

Coordinate with planning, QS/billing, and contracts teams to ensure SCM information supports DPRs, IPCs, and contractual correspondence. Facilitate interface management between materials for highway layers, structures, utilities, toll/plaza/way-side amenities, and safety equipment to avoid shortages or clashes. |
