1. Job Purpose

To support the planning, design review, execution supervision, and quality control of electrical works in Transmission Line (TL) projects, ensuring timely completion, compliance to technical standards, and adherence to safety and quality norms.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Technical & Design Support

  • Review tower schedules, line diagrams, BOQs, and technical drawings.

  • Assist in reviewing design documents from design consultants (sag-tension charts, stringing charts, clearance diagrams).

  • Support in checking foundation drawings, earthing layouts, and tower accessories.

  • Verify compliance with IS/IEC standards and utility specifications (PGCIL/State DISCOMs).

B. Project Execution

  • Assist in execution of tower foundation, tower erection, and stringing activities.

  • Monitor field work progress as per plan and ensure quality & safety adherence.

  • Coordinate with survey teams for route alignment, profiling, and tower spotting.

  • Ensure timely availability of materials at site (insulators, conductors, hardware, earthing materials etc.).

C. Quality Assurance

  • Conduct inspection of incoming materials and tower members.

  • Carry out inspection & testing during tower erection, tightening, sagging, and stringing.

  • Maintain QA/QC documentation: checklists, test reports, site inspection reports.

D. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in preparing DPRs, monthly progress reports, and MIS.

  • Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, SCM, and PMC consultants.

  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and project specifications.

  • Support in preparing work schedules, resource plans, and micro-level activities.

E. Safety Management

  • Ensure implementation of electrical safety protocols at site.

  • Monitor Zero-LTI targets through toolbox talks, hazard identification, and safety compliance.

  • Support in conducting safety audits, mock drills, and preventive actions.

F. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain documentation for inspections, clearances, and work permits.

  • Prepare as-built drawings and completion reports.

  • Ensure adherence to statutory norms (CEIG rules, CEA norms, environmental & RoW guidelines).
