Key Responsibilities

A. PMO Governance & Frameworks

  • Develop and implement PMO standards, SOPs, templates, documentation systems for New Energy projects.

  • Drive adoption of best practices in EPC project management across Solar, BESS, Wind, Giga-scale projects.

  • Maintain uniform WBS, change management, and approval processes.


B. Strategic Project Portfolio Management

  • Monitor and control the entire project portfolio (utility-scale Solar, BESS, hybrid RE, T&D).

  • Track project status vs baseline schedule, cost plan, cash flow, and quality KPIs.

  • Act as a PMO representative in monthly management reviews.


C. Planning, Scheduling & Progress Monitoring

  • Review and validate:

    • Master schedules (P6/MS Project)

    • Resource plans

    • Procurement schedules

    • Engineering deliverables timeline

  • Implement EVM (Earned Value Management) for scientific progress measurement.

  • Implement early-warning indicators for schedule slippage & cost overrun.


D. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Engineering, SCM, Contracts, Finance, Quality, Safety, HR, and Site teams.

  • Ensure timely:

    • Drawings & engineering approvals

    • Material availability

    • Contractor mobilization

    • Land & statutory clearances (if applicable)

  • Identify bottlenecks and escalate to top management with actionable solutions.


E. Performance Reporting & PMIS

  • Own and publish:

    • Daily/Weekly/Monthly MIS

    • Dashboards (Power BI/Tableau)

    • Portfolio health reports

    • Strategic review presentations (Board/CEO level)

  • Drive digital transformation of project monitoring using PMIS/ERP systems, IoT site feeds, mobile apps.


F. Financial Control & Cost Analytics

  • Tracking of:

    • Budget vs actual cost

    • Cost-to-complete

    • Billing, collections, retention

    • Liquidated damages (LD) risk

  • Support bidding and proposals team through data analytics, benchmarks, learnings.


G. Risk, Compliance & QAQC Alignment

  • Maintain Risk Register for all projects with mitigation actions.

  • Ensure compliance to quality and HSE standards.

  • Oversee change orders, claims, deviations and approval workflows.


H. PM Capability Building

  • Train and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Site In-charge on PMO guidelines.

  • Conduct lessons-learned workshops at key milestones.

  • Build a culture of data-driven decision making.
