| SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE | ||||
| Purpose of Role | To lead and manage all planning, scheduling, quantity surveying, and billing functions for a complex, multi-disciplinary railway project at the site level. This includes civil works, track laying (P-Way), station development, bridges, signaling, electrification (OHE), and other railway systems. The role ensures that project execution is aligned with timelines, budgets, and billing cycles while maintaining compliance with Indian Railways, Metro, and client-specific contractual requirements. | |||

| Strategic | Develop a comprehensive project schedule using Primavera P6 or MS Project that incorporates civil, P-Way, OHE, signaling, station buildings, and utilities. Create WBS, define key milestones, and map dependencies to track holistic project progress. Define the project’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), coding system, activity-wise duration, milestones, and progress measurement logic aligned with contractual obligations. | 25% | ||
| Financial Management | Prepare and monitor budgets across various railway packages. Track cash flows, cost-to-complete projections, and align resource planning with approved financial forecasts. Oversee preparation of monthly RA bills, item rate-based measurements, and reconciliation statements. Validate subcontractor bills and prepare abstract cost sheets in accordance with BOQ and technical specifications. | 25% | ||
| Operational | Coordinate with execution teams to collect daily progress data. Consolidate DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), track physical vs. planned achievement, and generate weekly/monthly dashboards. Maintain logs for EOTs, variations, change orders, RFIs, and technical approvals. Ensure timely submission of client reports, planning trackers, billing summaries, and reconciliation registers. | 40% | ||
