SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  
Purpose of Role We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Assistant Engineer to support project execution at our infrastructure construction sites. This entry-level engineering role provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and professional growth in the dynamic infrastructure sector. The Assistant Engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of site activities while developing core competencies in field engineering and project management.
         
SECTION III:  JOB REQUIREMENTS   
Total Experience in Yrs. (Minimum) 4+ years of experience in similar role preferably at Higway project.
Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Specific Certification / Additional Certifications (if Any) Basic certification in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or MS Project
Certification in safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, NEBOSH) – preferred for highways.
Technical/ Functional Skills Requirement Knowledge of MS Excel (advanced), AutoCAD, BOQ preparation, Familiarity with IRC/MoRTH standards for highway measurement & billing, Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications, Good understanding of project billing processes and reconciliation, Basic knowledge of planning software (MS Project / Primavera).

SECTION IV: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Assist in the implementation of daily work plans as directed by the Site Engineer/Project Engineer.
Monitor and report on ongoing site activities including excavation, concreting, reinforcement, piling, pavement works, or structural erection (as project-specific).
Conduct field measurements and assist in setting out works using surveying instruments (Total Station, Auto Level, GPS).
Support material management at site - verify receipts, handle storage, and monitor consumption against BOQ.
Assist in coordinating with subcontractor workforce for daily task allocation and productivity tracking

Financial Management Perform field quality checks as per ITP (Inspection & Test Plans) - including slump tests, compaction tests, level checks, etc.
Maintain day-to-day quality records, checklists, and site diaries.
Assist in collecting samples for laboratory testing (concrete cubes, soil, asphalt, etc.) and tracking test reports.
Support the preparation of shop drawings, method statements, and as-built drawings.
Help in identifying non-conformances and reporting them to senior engineers.

Operational Maintain logs of drawings, RFIs (Request for Information), and site instructions.
Assist in measuring work done for interim billing and subcontractor payments.
Update site records, including concreting logs, pile logs, and bar bending schedules.
